The Blowish
Dateline: University of Psychogenic Fugue,
the present. Weekly campus newspaper exposes students to the cutthroat
world of publishing. Originally established in 1965, The Blowfish
was re-established in 1973 after reading came back into style.
Since that time, The Blowfish has given would-be reporters the
chance to pretend they have no opinion but are merely searching
for the truth. Faculty advisor, a wimpy fellow who won't stand
up for freedom of the press, was hand-selected by the University
President. In 1991, during the Gulf War, The Blowfish received
an award for its editorial fable called, "The Partly Insane
Chicken." A picture of the award, which was later taken back,
still hangs in a poorly lit corner of the production office.

Radio UPF
Student operated radio station kind of gives people the opportunity
to be a DJ. Although the station doesn't actually transmit radio
waves "per se" because somebody forgot to apply for
a license, Radio UPF can be heard through a speaker hidden in
a pine tree at the edge of the parking lot near the library.
A full spectrum of programming formats are offered, including:
popular, not-so-popular, drunken talk radio, so-alternative-it's-mainstream,
and country hoe down. The University recently spent millions of
dollars upgrading the station's equipment to include a phone,
making call-in shows that much more enjoyable..
